Volume 1 and 2 have single ink stamp of Toronto Public Library, Volume 3 stamped “surplus, Library of Congress”, Volume 4 stamped “from the office of Norris Luttoy”. Despite the fact that this set comes from three sources, the set is uniform in appearance.

Light wear shelf wear, gilt on volume 4 very slightly lightened compared with the other three volumes. All volumes show no signs of use internally; easily a very good set.
