Description
Pp. vii, (1, ad), 100, 36 uncolored engraved plates. Original one-half red morocco leather over marbled boards, spine is lettered in gilt with panel lines, 4to. This is the final volume of a three volume set of a very important early American flora. This uncolored copy appears to be quite rare. All reference sources refer to the plates as being printed in color and finished by hand in the French technique of “stipple-engraving.” This work is in its original binding but newer marbled paper appears to have been added to the original boards. There is an old inscription on the front endpaper.

Very Good
Endpapers are a little browned, the final 30 pages of the text and plates show some foxing and browning, the remainder of the text and plates are clean, overall a very good copy in its attractive original binding.
