Pp. (v) vi-vii, (3), 1-96, plates 1-50; pp. (iv), 97-199, plates 51-104 – altogether 104 fine hand-colored plates (7 of which folding, 6 of which numbered as 2 plates in the text – as called for). Contemporary half brown morocco over marbled boards, spine with 4 raised bands with gilt-decorations and gilt titles, lg 8vo (165mm x 255mm). This work was issued in parts beginning in 1820 and ending in 1823; the title pages of both volumes lists the date as 1823. A classic early book on English fruits with magnificent hand-colored plates.
