Pp. xv, 281, 19 full page plates - 2 in color and 1 is folding, 27 text-figures. Original green ribbed cloth with gilt-lettered on spine and front cover, 8vo. Introduction by Henry Fairfield Osborn who also served as editor of the volume. This book is based on a seven month expedition to the Bahamas in 1890. Contents include a general description of the expedition, the geology of the Bahamas, the birds of the Bahamas, the Crustacea of the Bahamas, shells from the Bahamas, flora of the Bahamas, and numerous other articles. This volume is quite scarce in the first edition.

Some minor rubbing to the cloth along the outer joints and at the head and foot of the spine, a few outer corners with minor bumps, a clean, very good copy with no previous ownership marks.
