Forbes Henry Ogg Forbes (1851 – 1932) was a Scottish explorer, ornithologist, and botanist. He also described a new species of spider, Thomisus decipiens. From 1878 to 1883, Forbes explored the Moluccas, Sumatra, Java, Timor, and New Guinea and reported on the explorations in this volume. No ownership marks and few signs of use.
