The genus Amanita, contains several hundred species of mushrooms in the family Amanitaceae (order Agaricales). Some species of Amanita are poisonous to humans (from Wiki). This volume reviews the species from southwest France. The book is from the private research collection of University of Michigan mycologist Alexander H. Smith with his signature on the front endpaper.
