J. G. Wood first published in the later 19th century.  Volumes I-II cover the Mammalia; volumes III-IV detail the Birds; volumes V provides coverage of Fishes, Reptiles and Amphibians; and volume VI presents aquatic invertebrates, insects, spiders and butterflies and moths.  No ownership marks and almost no signs of use.

Condition Description Slight edge-wear to cloth at the base of some spine and bottom edges of the boards, marginal tear to one plate has been professionally repaired, mild water marks to the outer margins of 12 pages of volume II with no effect to text; overall, this is an exceedingly bright and clean copy in near fine condition.
