An early study of the archaeology and monuments of Sumatra (mostly from the Srivijayan period) from the about 7th century to the 13th century. The text is in English. There is the faint outline of oval institutional stamps mostly on the rear side of the plates. A previous owner has neatly erased these institutional stamps leaving only a faint outline. This is a rare monograph on the archaeology of island Southeast Asia.
