Gurke. Publisher’s original lime green cloth, spine and front cover lettered in gilt and with blind-stamped gilt-decorations on the front covers, all original tissue guards present, sm folio (12 3/4 x 10 inches). A comprehensive review of nearly two hundred flowering cactus species. Many cactus species represented are from Central and South America. This is among the rarest of all German cactus books - the superb full page color plates are among the most vivid and brilliant illustrations of cactus ever published. This work is exceedingly rare and is often found in an incomplete state - the set offered here is complete and in the original publisher’s binding.
