This work is a descriptive account of the mushroom-like fungi known as Boletus. It is the outcome of the author’s mycological interest in Singapore and Malaya when he was at the Singapore Botanic Gardens from 1929 to 1945. The author also made subsequent journeys to Sarawak, Brunei and Sabah to collect fungi. This volume is from the private research collection of University of Michigan mycologist Alexander H. Smith although his signature does appear in the frontis matter.
