Pp. 339, 159 text-figures (fine anatomical line drawings, some in color), some black-and-white photographs of pandas.  Publisher’s original gray printed wrappers, lg 4to.  Fieldiana: Zoology Memoirs, volume 3.  This is the classic monograph on this distinctive Chinese bear.  The late Stephen Jay Gould in his book ‘The Panda's Thumb’ (page 22) notes this is “...probably the greatest work of modern evolutionary comparative anatomy and it contains more than anyone would ever want to know about pandas.”  The title is neatly printed on the spine.  No ownership marks and no signs of use.
