Translated into English from the original German by K. Jordan. This is the rare first edition in English. The subtitle of this work reads: The Macrolepidoptera of the Palaearctic Fauna, volume 1. The Rhopalocera are the most beautiful butterflies in the northern hemisphere. The highly decorated red morocco binding is clearly a ‘fine binding.’ No ownership marks and no signs of use.
