This is the complete third edition of this classic work, revised and largely rewritten by Edwin Pascoe. The first edition, in four volumes, was published in 1879-1887, authored by Medicott, Blanford, Ball and Mallet. The second edition was published in 1893, authored by R. D. Oldham. The third edition of this work was begun in the 1933 and first published from 1950-1964. The set offered here is a reprint of the original third edition. An index to this work (offered here), authored by K. Rajarajan, B. J. C. Gupta and B. K. Singh, was published as volume IV in 1976. No ownership marks. This work is rarely offered as a complete set.
