Roger Heim (1900-1979) was a French botanist who specialized in tropical mycology. He teamed up with his friend and colleague R. Gordon Wasson who became interested in the sacred mushrooms cult in Mesoamerica. Heim joined Wasson for several field trips in Mexico to collect and identify the species of divinatory mushrooms. At his laboratory in Paris, during the 1950's, Heim developed a method for the mass cultivation of those species which lead to breakthrough chemical and psychopharmacological discoveries. Heim and colleagues went on to publish the first multidisciplinary book on these discoveries. No ownership marks and no signs of use.
