Publisher’s original brown pebble cloth, lettered in gilt on the spine and blind-stamped on the front and rear covers, folio (10 1/4 x 9 3/4 inches). Describes a very large elephant skeleton from the Upnor gravels near Rochester in Kent, UK. The basic description of the skeleton was written by Andrews whereas the description the remainder of the description was written by Forster Cooper after the death of Andrews. No ownership marks and no signs of use.
