George Albert Boulenger was the leading taxonomic herpetologist of this era (Adler, vol. 1, pg. 55-56). He authored more than 20 books and over 900 scientific papers. His volume in "The Fauna of British India" series became the seminal work on the reptiles and amphibians of India, Ceylon and Burma. Signature of C.L. Williams dated 1900, Rangoon (Burma) at the top of the title page. Circular blind stamp of herpetologist Keith Neitman at the bottom of the title page. No other ownership marks. This volume is quite rare especially in the original publisher's binding.
