Birds in Flight

This volume depicts many Japanese birds in various flight positions such as gliding, landing, taking off, diving, and displaying their wings. The text is presented simultaneously in English and Japanese. English common names are used in all of the captions of the plates. At the end of the volume, all photos appear in small vignettes with accompanying text describing where the photo was taken and the camera and lens used to take the photograph. No ownership marks and no signs of use.
