This work presents the color photographs of all prize-winning koi of the Imabari Show as well all prize-winning koi of the Hiroshima Show. The title of the volume “Book of Great Nishikigoi” originated in Takeo Kuroki’s naming of all the prize koi in the All Japan Nishikigoi Show as the ‘greatest Nishikigoi’. The Kokugyo Prize Koi is the term generally used for the koi that win prizes at the shows of the All Nippon Nishikigoi Promoter’s Association. The Grand Champion of All is called the Greatest Nishikigoi, while the best koi of each size are called Champions (modified from the Preface of Takeo Kuroki). The original selling price of this work listed on the rear side of the slipcase is 35,000 Yen. The text is primarily in Japanese but English is used throughout especially in the prefaces and in the captions to many of the color photos. No ownership marks and no signs of use. A Japanese version of the ‘ISBN’ is printed on the slipcase: 2076-105076-3383.
