This work contains 49 original offprints by John K. Strecker, a few papers also have typescript sections added in. A typescript index to all 49 papers has been added into the frontis matter. The papers cover from numerous journals such as Transactions of the Texas Academy of Science, Proceedings of the Biological Society of Washington, Baylor University Bulletin, Bulletin of the Scientific Society of San Antonio, Contributions from Baylor University Bulletin and others. Herpetologist Walter L. Necker put this collection together and had it bound with his typescript index added in the beginning. His bookplate appears on the front endpaper and his name sticker is on some of the wrappers. Later from the library of herpetologist Richard D. Worthington with his signature on the front endpaper. Individual offprints of John Strecker seldom are offered for sale which makes this complete set of Strecker’s herpetological papers all the more valuable.
