On the Head of the Macropetalichthyids, with certain remarks on the head of the other arthrodires

(2), 87-197; 13 full page black-and-white plates (each with a printed tissue guard explanation of the plate), 26 text-figures (a few color tinted).  Original pale green printed wrappers, lg 8vo.  Field Museum of Natural History, Geological Series, volume 4, no. 4 (publication no. 232).  In this monograph the author describes a skull of Macropetalichthys rapheidolabis which shows the primordial neurocranium of the specimen especially well preserved.  This specimen helps establish the phylogenetic position of this primitive arthrodire.  No ownership marks and no signs of use.
