Hoian is a city on Vietnam’s central coast known for its well-preserved ancient town, cross-cut with canals. Old Town Hoian, the city's historic district, is recognized as an exceptionally well-preserved example of a Southeast Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century, its buildings and street plan reflecting a blend of indigenous and foreign influences. This former port city was a melting-pot reflected in its architecture, a mix of eras and styles from wooden Chinese shop-houses and temples to colorful French colonial buildings, ornate Vietnamese tube houses and the iconic Japanese-covered bridge with its pagoda (modified after Wiki). The text is in Vietnamese, Russian, and in English. No ownership marks.
