Pp. 324; 16 full page black-and-white photographic plates, each with a descriptive leaf of text, 60 text-figures (all fine line-drawings of fossils or geologic sections).  Original gray printed wrappers, sm 4to.  Memoires du Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Series C, volume 13.  This large, well-researched monograph describes the Paleocene mammalian faunas of Europe.  It is Donald Russell’s thesis for a French graduate degree.  From the research library of marine vertebrate paleontologist Edward Mitchell with his signature on the front wrapper.  A note by Mitchell on the bottom edge of the front wrapper states “Received from author 3 June 1964.”
