Bureau of Fisheries for 1907 – Document no. 69.  This work describes the entire natural history of shipworms.  This monograph builds on many studies of shipworms in the 19^th and 18^th centuries.  During the past all ship hulls and many dykes, like those in Holland, were made of wood.  This is an interesting historical review of a pest that causes much economic damage in the past.  No ownership marks.
