Photogravure of American Fungi

Pp. (no title page was issued), 24 full page black-and-white photogravures of American fungi.  One-half dark brown leather, spine with five raised bands, over marbled boards highlighted in gold, with matching marbled endpapers, author/title label outlined in gilt on the front cover, 4to.  This rare work was issued in a limited edition.  It was privately printed in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1894 and describes many mushrooms from the Cincinnati area.  No ownership marks but this work but this book is from the private research collection of University of Michigan mycologist Alexander H. Smith.  Rare work.
