(2), 178; + numerous black-and-white photo-plates and fine line-drawings of fishes, some diagrams, color drawing of a lake trout.  Later wine-red cloth, lg 8vo.  This work contains much information on the game fish of the state, both marine and fresh water – there is much coverage of brook and lake trout.  There is also a section on building fish hatcheries.  No ownership marks and no signs of use.  Scarce work.
