Native to mainland and insular Southeast Asia, this species is widespread. The author examined 2,049 museum specimens, reviewed all relevant literature, and observed natural populations. Macaca fascicularis is the best known of all living macaque species. Inscribed by the author on the front wrapper. No ownership marks and no signs of use.
