Pp. 54-81, 97-117, 173-199, 5-10, unnumbered page 91-110, unnumbered page 168-174, unnumbered page 1-8, 7-18, 188-202, 86-95; 22 full page plates (2 are hand-colored).  One-half brown leather over marbled boards with matching marbled endpapers, spine with five raised bands, lettered in gilt in two compartments, lg 8vo.  From the Journal of the Cincinnati Society of Natural History in ten parts from volume 6-11, 1883-1888.  This is the original printing of this early work on the mycology of Ohio.  It was originally published in journal form over a six-year period.  Name stamp of James E. Humphrey is the margins of some pages.  James Ellis Humphrey (1861-1897) was an American botanist and mycologist graduated from Harvard University.  Humphrey likely assembled the ten parts of this work.  This book is from the private research collection of University of Michigan mycologist Alexander H. Smith with his signature pasted on the front endpaper.
