Pp. 182, color photo frontis and numerous black-and-white photos, all by the author.  Patterned brown cloth with an embossed scene of four prairie chickens displaying and with the volume’s title in gilt, pictorial endpapers, lg 4to.  The most detailed study of this game bird based on three years of fieldwork by the author who also took all of the photographs.
