Memoirs of the Boston Society of Natural History, volume 8, no. 3. A very rare work issued in a limited edition of only a few hundred copies subsidized by a grant from the Gurdon Saltonstall Fund. Most copies of the original printing were sold by subscription to libraries, museums, or government institutions. Very few copies were made available to the general public.
