Early wine red cloth, lettered in gilt on the spine, decorated page edges, brown patterned endpapers, (all original printed gray wrappers bound in place), thick lg 8vo. This volume contains five monographs, three are on birds and two are on mammals. The two longest monographs are “Distribution and variation of the brown Towhees” by John Davis (120 pages, 12 text-figures, 1951) and “Annual cycle, environment and evolution in the Hawaiian honeycreepers (Aves: Drepaniidae)” by Paul Baldwin (114 pages, 4 photo-plates, 12 text-figures, 1953). Mildly ex-library from the Reading Public Museum with white call number on the spine, bookplate of Reading Museum on the front endpaper and Museum stamps on the front original wrapper of each number and on rear endpaper.
