This text is simultaneously presented in Russian and German in parallel columns. This volume presents the herpetological collections made by the Russian explorer Nikolai Przewalsky on his five expeditions to China made from 1867 to 1885. Przewalsky died in Karakol in 1888 as he was about to embark on a sixth expedition to China. Parts I and II, offered here, cover the amphibians and the first part of the Lacertilia (Gekkonidae and Agamidae). Two other parts were also issued in 1909 and 1912 but are not offered here. Very scarce. No ownership marks.
